Hello from Los Angeles, where we think far and then drive there in heavy traffic.

I am both excited and sad to be leaving my home here, for home it truly has become.  But a new adventure lies ahead in whatever place Beau decides to attend grad school as our commitment to experience life together really commences.

We are getting married on the full moon in June this year.  According to official sources it just happens to be a blue moon and since that complements our story so nicely, we're going with it.  (second full moon in a calendar month)  Our loved ones are joining us for a summer weekend in Big Sur where we can really begin our lives together according to all of our values.

This blog is about my goals, inspiration and the results of creating an event that is truly in harmony with our beliefs and values.  Integrity is the key to beginning a good life together.  So this should come easily, right?

Some of those aforementioned values:
    •    Live in love and recognition of the common spirit in all beings.
    •    Promote sustainable practices in every activity.
    •    Spend as much time surrounded by nature and wilderness as possible.
    •    In all things, minimize the negative impact and increase the healing effects of our             actions.
    •    Know the awful truths but maintain a positive proactive perspective.
    •    Bring together diverse people and they will learn and create.
    •    There is an abundance of energy and resources if they are understood and                         managed consciously.
    •    Have fun, laugh a lot, dance 'til you fall down.

What an amazing way to start off such a profound choice in one's life, I wish you both the best of luck with your endeavor to not only marry but marry while being green too.

Hopefully this will motivate and inspire not only those in your family's life but anyone else who's looking to take that next step. Maybe you can create a green mini-series How to based off of your marriage ceremony!

I applaud your plans and can't wait to see them in more detail. And then the wedding.  I really can't wait for that!
